OMG… that was hilarious! I’m still laughing!
I don’t know if it’s just different out here, but I have to admit that lately, I’ve been seeing just as many commercials (on British TV) with the men doing the cleaning as the ones that feature women. The basic gist of it is that “Product X” will make cleaning so much easier that the man will finally be bothered to get off his arse and do it, too. Not a huge improvement, but a hell of a lot better than portraying every man as inept and/or lazy.
those are also better than the one over here (Germany) that has a man going ‘silly women, you don’t need to sort laundry by color with XXX brand of detergent!’ (that’s a loose translation, but it’s definitely the taste of it.)
also, AARGH! I cannot see it for some reason! *grumble*
